The laborious process of organizing elections
The previous year, similar paper-based elections, including vote counting, took 60 electoral commission members more than three weeks.
Student council elections for faculties and dormitories
Elections were held in four faculties of the institute and in three dormitories. The number of election commission members was reduced from 60 to 12. Instead of the time-consuming paperwork that usually accompanies preparations for such elections, they were able to spend more time distributing election information to students.
Turnout increased by 20%
There was a total of 29 candidates and 1,950 voters. Turnout was 65%, which was 20% higher than the previous year.
